A Patrol Base is meant to be a temporary, secure stop during a patrol to rest, resupply hints, and plan the next phase while keeping security tight. Because the goal is to stay as mobile and elusive as possible, the time you spend there is limited. The maximum duration is no more than 24 hours. Extending beyond a day increases exposure to discovery, drains limited resources, and reduces your ability to maintain the patrol’s pace and initiative.

Keeping occupancy short ensures you can continue the mission with flexibility, reallocate forces if needed, and move to a better position before conditions deteriorate.
